Bold Moves: Toyota Camry Takes Center Stage at the 2014 Miami International Auto Show

The best-selling car for the last 12 years is better and bolder than ever. Now, the 2015 Toyota Camry is bold enough for the bright lights of Miami Beach.

The new Camry headlined the full lineup of Toyota cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs that was on display at the Miami International Auto Show, Nov. 7-16, 2014 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Toyota also showed off its redesigned 2015 Yaris and Sienna, along with 2003 NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth’s Camry stock car.

When redesigning the Camry for 2015, Toyota went bumper to bumper and top to bottom, changing or re-engineering nearly 2,000 parts. Only the roof remains unchanged, capping off the boldest Camry body ever.

“Our customers expect more, and we will give them more; this customer-first approach drives us,” said Rick LoFaso, corporate manager of car marketing at Toyota Motor Sales. “That’s what drove us to redesign the best-selling car in the industry only three years – and already more than 1 million sales – into its model cycle.”

The 2015 Camry offers a stiffer body structure, enhanced aerodynamics and its quietest ride ever. The redesigned, upscale interior and advanced instrumentation with intuitive controls help keep the driver safely focused on the road.

An aggressive looking front bumper and grille and pronounced side character lines give the new Camry a far more expressive style, while sleek, low-profile LED headlamps are the eyes in the new Camry face you won’t forget. It’s a sleeker look that’s also slightly longer and features a widened track that communicates a dynamic stance and presence.

The 2015 Camry is available in four models: the value-driven LE, the sporty SE, the new XSE and the premium XLE. The Camry Hybrid returns, as well, available in LE, XLE and the eco-fun SE grades.

The new XSE builds on the success of the SE – 45 percent of customers, who are on average 12 years younger than other Camry customers, currently choose the SE model. The XSE features an edgier look, enthusiastic driving dynamics and luxurious amenities, making it the sportiest Camry yet.

The Camry LE receives a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $22,970, while the SE carries a base price of $23,840. The XSE and XLE have identical MSRPs of $26,150 for models equipped with the four-cylinder and $31,370 for the V6 versions. Pricing for the Camry Hybrid starts at $26,790 for the LE model, $27,995 for the SE, and $29,980 for the premium XLE.

Every Camry sold in North America is the product of over 7,000 skilled American team members and 75 percent North American content. From design and engineering in Michigan, to assembly in Kentucky, a unique American touch goes into each Camry. Team members produce a Camry every 54 seconds, a pace that is needed to keep up with demand – 50 American families bring home a new Camry every hour.
